The A.V. Max Sample Sale Is Chock full of Giftable Baubles...Just in Time for the Holidays!

This time of year it feels like everyone opens up their showrooms for sample sales just in time for holiday gifting. The A.V. Max sale has quickly become one of my favorites, with their well-priced baubles that frequent the pages of InStyle, Elle, Bazaar and the like. Prices start at just $5 for rings and earrings and max out at $25 for more ornate necklaces. At 80% off retail, I suggest taking a peek.

Their cuffs are hands down my favorite and priced to go at $5-15. The earrings are the best deal of the sale at buy four get one free = 5 for $20! Many of these retail at stores like Anthropology for $50+ each!

I spent most of the morning hanging out at the showroom editing my finds. Every time I put something back I managed to replace it with a couple more pieces LOL. It's a fun sale - you're warmly greeted by the designer, Amy who quickly offers you a Mimosa the moment you step through the door.

Here is some of my final edit - I attempted to select some pieces for gifts but I always end up keeping most of it :)

I'm linking some of their pieces that I saw at the sale so you can get a better idea of the selection (and the retail prices) :)

A.V. Max

10am-4pm (Wednesday until 7pm)*
39 W 38th Street, 10th floor (between 5th and 6th)
Cash or charge

*The designer said she would most probably be extending her hours and possibly stay open thru Friday. I would recommend calling ahead to confirm their daily hours.

After the sale I walked uptown to Century 21 to check in but left empty handed. I have a hard time buying anything there if it's not 75-90% off LOL. I passed the HOPE sculpture on the street and couldn't resist taking a picture - the vibrant red popped against the gloomy, rainy day.

I also stopped by the Shops at Columbus Circle and admired their holiday display. For 15 years I called NYC my home - and when I wonder the streets it still feels like home. Just wanted to share a glimpse of my New York City with you...

  1. ooh maybe I should've gone! The first cuff you linked to I LOVE. I haven't seen columbus circle yet, only union square. Must get down there!
