Finally! Sophia Webster!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhhh I'm still so excited. My shoe-high isn't gonna let me sleep so I figured I'd share my new Sophia Websters!

Saturday night was the VIP preview for the Sophia Webster NYC sample sale. I hit the town with my blogger bestie, Shira of A Sequin Love Affair. This time it was Shira who took me along for the ride and I'm so grateful! Last sale I went the second day and walked away empty handed. This time more than made up for my previous experience.

My look from head to toe:
  • Sweater: Rebecca Taylor, sample sale, $40
  • Dress: H&M, sale rack, $3
  • Coat: H&M, $25
  • Bracelets: A.V. Max, sample sale, $15 each
  • Tights: Spanx, Burlington Coat Factory, $12
  • Boots: Donna Karan, Century 21, $26 (90% off!)

I finally joined Snapchat tonight because Sophia Webster included me in their latest story! My name is LeHoarder there too if you want to follow me.

Prices were pretty much the same as last year. Tables were set up by size and priced by color. Pricing started at $65 for a  basic flat or pump, and went upward of $295 for ornate heels and $350 for boots. However, I hit the sample table hard (all priced at $95!) and walked away with four gorgeous pairs of heels. This time Shira actually purchased more than me LOL.

They did not allow photography inside so I can only share some of what we got. Shira and I took pictures of each others shoes. She actually took all the pics of me tonight LOL.

Obsessed with my Keira Doiley sandals, retail $750.

They were kind enough to get on the floor and tie these Lacey printed leather sandals (retail $695) the right way - evidently I did it wrong first LOL.

These two are of Shira's legs - her pink Yara butterfly heels were $150 (retail $670) and I found her the sample Lilico Floral Jungle Sandals for $95 (retail $650)!

I'm linking some of the shoes I saw so you can get an idea of what's inside :)

I've shared it before but if you have not yet registered for the sale, you can do so here.

Sophia Webster
Sunday, December 6, 9am-6pm (by appointment only)
91 Horatio St, New York, NY 10014

They were restocking as we shopped so I may head back in tomorrow. If you see me come say hello and show me what you're getting!

Best. Day. Ever. Sergio Rossi $25 Sample Sale Shoes!

You know how I complained the other day that things were not going my way after my disappointment with Rebecca Taylor and (especially) Charlotte Olympia? Well, Sergio Rossi just made my week...maybe even my year.

Last night I heard a rumor that shoes were slashed to $25-300 at the Rossi sale. All I heard was $25 and knew I needed to get my butt back to the City. This of course happened after I left yesterday and because I had other obligations, there was no way I could have gone last night anyway. Normally I would wake up at the crack of dawn for a sale like this and get on line at least an hour before opening. Unfortunately this semester, Thursdays are the only early morning my professor husband teaches (rest are evenings). Ugh. That means I can't leave my house before 8am when my kids get on their bus....which is exactly when I needed to already be there. Luckily I have lots of superfans (and superfriends!) and my new best friend A was first in line (I've taught him well LOL). After grabbing a couple pairs of shoes for himself, he grabbed one of each $25 style in my size, beating out all the stupid resellers who hoarded shoes. THANK YOU!

Because I have a larger foot there was more of a selection in my size so I was lucky on many counts.

Here is a pic of all of my new shoes - I'm sure you'll be seeing them on me soon! I was also going to hit the last day of the Marchesa sale today but after Sergio Rossi that plan went out the window. As it was I had to call my amazing sister who drove in from NJ to pick me up on 18th street. I probably could have ditched the shoe boxes, put them in dustbags and lugged them home in my IKEA totes but a ride home was so much better! So blessed with amazing friends and family who helped make today so perfect.

Sarah Jessica Parker is having a sample sale tomorrow and I'm considering going just in case SJP shows up. I know I need another pair of shoes like a hole in the head but I would love a pair signed by her. As a 20-something, fashion obsessed, single girl who lived in Manhattan during the Sex and the City days, Carrie Bradshaw holds a special place in my heart. Feel free to come and join - be sure to say hello if you see me! On her Instagram she shared that bags start at $30, shoes start at $80 and they will also have the trench coat from her collection. Cash only so hit the ATM before you go!

*ETA - SJP just posted on Insta that she won't be attending her sale because she's filming her new HBO show so I decided to skip. If you go please share what you find!

SJP Collection
Friday, 11/20 - doors open at noon
Hilton New York
152 West 26th Street, conference room 3

Tomorrow is also the last day of the Tabitha Simmons shoe sale so if I go into the City, I'll probably pop in at the end. I'll also peek in at Rebecca Taylor where they started with a 30% discount today - maybe tomorrow will be better.

Tabitha Simmons
Friday, 11/20, 9am-5pm
601 West 26th Street, Suite 1445

I'm also linking some of the shoes I saw inside the Rossi sale so you can drool a little. (Photography and even phones were not allowed inside the sale.) There were tons of crazy drool-worthy, blinged-out numbers for $300 or less but I was cheap and limited myself to the $25 shoes. And to think I used to be happy with my Sergio Rossis that I scored at Century for less than $100 LOL. Most of these retailed for $1000+! I did pick up a few extras for family and friends and if there are any leftovers I'll add them to the blog sale :)

I also wanted to share that this is my 200th post! So exciting! I know I still owe you a blog sale (soon, I promise!) but I also think it's about time for a giveaway....

Stay tuned! Exciting things are happening :)

XOXO

Jimmy Choo, I love you! NYC 2015 Spring Sample Sale Report (and Aquazurra day 2)

Right now I'm on 3 hours sleep and pretty exhausted but before I passed out I knew I had to share my Jimmy Choo report.

This morning I woke up bright and early and made my way into the City for Jimmy Choo's Spring sample sale. Today was friends and family & VIP but I believe later in the day they opened to the general public. I got on line at 7:30 AM and there were only 2 girls ahead of me. I was shocked. #1 said she got there at 5:30 - so I'm glad I didn't go any earlier. At 10 they started letting VIPs in and just before 11 they started going down the line, making sure you were registered. When they were vetting me I asked about shoe samples and was told they didn't have :( No cheap Choos for me this year. If you didn't register they pulled you out and created a separate public line to be let in later. It seems Miss 5:30 didn't register so I became #2.

Last sale I regretted not picking up a $75 wallet so that was my first stop. They had a table of small leather goods all priced $75. Totally worth it for a wallet but not so much for a key chain.

FYI - most of these were gone when I left before noon. Historically this table gets cleared by the end of day 1.

From the $75 table I selected the $750 Lana clutch (so cute you want to eat it) and this blue leather wallet with rubber studs that probably also retailed for $750. I thought about taking more wallets but decided to only take one, and this was my favorite.

Here is the only mod-shot I could find online - it's Kate Beckinsale carrying the Lana in black.

Before we get started with the rest, here is the price list for the sale.

  • Men's shoes were $250 and boots were $375.
  • Women's shoes started at $200 (didn't really see anything under $250) and went up to $325 for jeweled styles, and $375 for boots.
  • Belts were $50 and scarves & small leather goods were $75.
  • Small bags started at $250 and went up to $450 for larger ones - but exotic skins/fur could tack on an additional $200 to shoes and bags.
  • Tax was an additional 8.875% to all items.

I looked over the smaller bags and I really wanted a Candy clutch but for $250 plus tax I decided to pass. Still kicking myself for passing on the $100 refurb one I spotted at the Rack because it had a scratch across the front. Ugh.

I had a hard time walking away from this one but it was pretty scratched up and not worth $250 plus tax IMO.

Evening bags started at $350 - also a little above my budget. It was so hard to be good at this sale.

Here are the $350 medium bags...

They had a really good selection of larger $450 bags.  I was so tempted. At $350 I might have caved but the $350 ones were too small (or less exciting) and worth $250 to me LOL. People were grabbing these up like hotcakes. Check out the luggage!

Pretty good selection of $50 belts and $75 scarves.

Now for the shoes! Last sale I attended (not their last sale) they had $90 samples. I saw the same Choos at this sale for $250. I looked them over but didn't buy any. I know you guys always ask about larger and smaller size - so those are what I took the most pics of. Honestly they had a fair selection in most sizes other than under 34.

Men's had mostly size 10. I peeked at the 11-13 table for my husband and brothers but it wasn't too exciting in larger sizes.

If you missed today (ended at 6 PM), the sale is on tomorrow (May 6th) from 8 AM thru 4 PM. I plan on going back to see if they do markdowns :)

Please note I did NOT do any personal shopping today - if price are better tomorrow I'll grab stuff for you in the styles/sizes you've requested.

 Address: Metropolitan Pavilion, 123 W. 18th St. (bet. 6th & 7th Ave.)

***************

After several sample sale friends made out like bandits yesterday at the Aquazzura sale yesterday I decided to walk over and see what was left. Simply put, nada.

Most of what was left was over $300 (yesterday, most were under $200). They did have some other brands for $75 and $35 but mostly in size 37. Usually my size 40 is plentiful but not today.

I did spot these cute Charles Philip men's slippers for $35 but I know my husband would never wear them so I passed.

Sale ends tomorrow (5/6/15, 10 AM - 6 PM) but I heard they are not restocking (there were rumors they would today that proved false) so don't bother.

Address: 130 West 57th Street, Suite 6C, New York, NY 10019

***************

That's all for now! Follow me on Instagram to see my Jimmy Choo day 2 adventure tomorrow - or if it's good enough I'll blog about it too :)

If you went to Choo today would love to hear what you got...

XOXO

This bag is in excellent used condition - I personally only wore it once but it was purchased as a refurb. It has the silver stud on the inside pocket (see pic - they used to do that to all refurbs). I found a similar stock pic so you can get an idea of the size. It does has a few faint scratches - nothing serious as you can see, and I just conditioned it with Leather Honey so it's buttery soft and ready to wear :) Retail $450, asking $120.
