This Week in Shopping...Target Toy Sale & TJ Maxx, H&M, Century 21 and Rack Updates.

After my initial TJ Maxx and Marshalls shopping expedition, I decided to check one more store...and found this super cute Givenchy pouch for $99 and Chloe wallet for $119. The Givenchy retailed for $480 and I LOVE the print - and even though it's not even leather, it's a keeper for sure. As for the wallet, sure how practical a $595 pink wallet is (plus I love my blue Jimmy Choo) so I'm still deciding if I need to add it to the next blog sale.

I know I keep bugging you but the iMac & Kate Spade giveaway is ending on the 18th! Last call to enter :) It's at the bottom of my Favorite Finds of 2015 post, click here to read and enter.

For some reason I had it in my head that the Target toy sale is always the third Thursday in January but somehow it started yesterday which is technically the second. As soon as I saw pics on Instagram I RAN to see what I could find. Twice a year Target marks their toys down to 70% off and that's when I stock up my gift closet!

I did not buy all these toys so please don't ask for DCPIs - but you can try to read them from the scanner in the picture. When I go Target hunting I just look for things by sight, I rarely look up the SKU to see if they have them locally.

$13.48 from $44.99

My girls have been begging for these for a while. I may have to take another trip to see if I can find more because they were fighting over this one.

This was the one toy my husband picked out LOL.

These days I look for smaller toys - my kids do NOT need any more large playsets. The first few years I discovered this sale I went nuts LOL.

The H&M sale is progressing. I caught them doing another round of markdowns yesterday. I saw the salesgirl putting $1 stickers on stuff so I snapped up this hat.  I'm also wearing my new Firmoo glasses but I'll tell you more about them next week :)

As you can see, H&M prices are getting insanely cheap. This beaded fisherman sweater is now 90% off! I plan on checking out a couple more locations today :)

ETA - just got back from the mall and one of the locations just added an extra 30% off all sale items - plus they had lots of things for $1-3! YMMV so check your local stores! #GAMECHANGER

The Century sale seems to be progressing. They now have these stupid new tags that tell you the percentage off retail. 75% off seems to be popping up in several departments. Frankly I wish they'd go back to their normal tags where I don't have to do the math. This Missoni tags reads 91% off but it's actually only 75% off Century pricing. Annoying.

And last but not least, lots of markdowns at the Rack! They were kind enough to leave me these shoes that were actually marked a penny.

And I found this cute Missoni change purse for a penny too. It's a little dirty but you read the penny thing, right?

I also found this Herschel pouch for a penny for my husband. Be sure to check all departments when hunting!

Have a great weekend and happy shopping! There's lots to buy on the cheap right now :)

Target toy sale fail and weekly shopping update...

This post was going to be my big Target toy sale haul. Twice a year, Target clearances their toys to 70% and that's usually when I stock up for the year. On Thursday, I grabbed the girls and arrived at my first Target - and there was nothing. No clearance toy isle, not even one endcap full of marked down toys. Just nothing. Ella was especially disappointed because she dressed for the occasion.

I'm training them young.

Not to be dissuaded, after 15 minutes of pacing the store we headed to our next location. We spotted a few toys on endcaps but they were still ringing up at 30-50% off. I guess I'll try again next Thursday...

Found this flask mixed in (only 50% boo) and thought it was worth a share :)

I also spotted these Lilly for Target espadrilles in the shoe department - but they were still full price so I left them. Weird.

My girls refused to leave until I took a few pictures of them outside.

I had an hour to kill before I headed to Nordstrom Rack to do my price adjustments for Clear the Rack (you get an extra 25% off red ticked clearance, and they will adjust for purchases within 7 days) so I headed to Office Depot to get my penny school supplies. All summer Office Depot has been offering select supplies on sale for a penny or a quarter every week. As always, I've been stocking up on the cheap. I just checked and they don't have anything for a penny this week but I'll probably swing by for the $0.10 composition notebooks.

Still had some time so I finally used my free $15 coupon from Kohl's. Kohl's has the best coupons (they always have amazing online deals with lots of codes to stack) and I love the free money they send you. I chose this Essie Gel Setter set in Ballet Slippers because it was exactly $15 so it came out to $0.00 OOP! They have some decent brands at the beauty department at Kohl's. I've picked up some of my Real Techniques makeup brushes there on the cheap.

Nothing better than free!

Made it to Nordstrom Rack 3 minutes before they opened the doors and was first on line for my adjustments. I never find anything during Clear the Racks, it's always in the weeks before. Too bad I couldn't adjust my new tangerine Rockie bag I picked up a few weeks ago. I'm just happy to have found one at the Rack.

Lastly, I'd like to thank the jerk who sideswiped my car and cracked my light. Thanks.

Hope you did better than me at Target. I've been drooling at haul pictures on Facebook and Instagram so I know the clearance it out there. I keep thinking that maybe I'll try another location but honestly my kids don't need anything and my gift stockpile has enough to last me to the next sale. I know I still owe you a blog sale but don't worry, it's coming and gonna be good!

Shopping Insanity. Century 21 75% off and Target toys 70% off!!!

This morning Target toy clearance hit 70% off! This happens 2x a year (right after X-mas and now) and for my kids, it's a can't miss event. This is the only time I let them loose in the toy department and they can choose any toy they want with a red sticker (and 70% off). My kids slept in their clothing and hopped out the door at 8am (we were running late) with a snack in their hand.

This year I only hit one store in Hackensack, NJ. In years past we've hit several stores but now that I've been shopping this sale for several years I'm getting better and better at editing. Plus I'm a little broke right now LOL. If you've never been, this is when you buy all your holiday and birthday gifts for the next six months.

Typically Target condenses all the sale toys into an isle or two, but you can often find some things hidden on the regular shelves if they have not already re-set them. Don't forget to check the endcaps as well.

So here's our cart from this morning :)

This is the first time I've found Legos at 70% off - typically they sell out at 30-50% off around here.

My kids wanted to share their favorite pics from the sale - these are the ones I let them open today :)

And this is what you really want to see....our haul :)

It was too bright out when I took the pic :(

I'm pretty happy with my new stash. What did you score?

*********************

Century 21 FINALLY started marking down to 75% off on Monday. As of today, everything is marked down. Last sale I cleaned up - but this time they transferred out a lot of merchandise to other locations where they could sell them for more rather than mark them down :( Needless to say I was pretty pissed.

I'm still sorting thru all my goodies - so here are a few highlights from the sale :)

Got these Marc by Marc Jocobs sandals for less than $30. The Bergen Mall offers a coupon booklet (available at the mall office near Target) with a $20 off $100 C21 coupon. I had several so I split up my transactions until I ran out of coupons LOL. The coupon expires today and the office is actually out of booklets - but you have one stashed away use it tonight! They said the next booklets won't be out until August 11th.

I WISH these Miu Mius were my size! They are for my niece (yes, you M!) and were less than $60! Several items were still marked 'pay half' but rang up 75% off :)

As you know, I've been obsessed with evening bags of late. I found this Lanvin hiding on the shelf next to cheapy $10 clutches LOL. With my coupon it came out to less than $70 from $1000 :)

After my sunglasses haul from the last sale I decided to see what they had. It was slim pickings but I managed to score a pair of Fendis, three House of Harlows and a pair of Ray Bans. I'll be keeping the bottom three for sure :) After coupon they all came out to about $12 each LOL.

And it seems I'm a sucker for a blue dress. This Costume National beauty came out to around $80 after coupon.  It was $1,190 on Shopbop :)

Throughout the store look for 75% off signs for the best deals - they were everywhere!

Also - don't forget to check out the men's department. There were designer suits for under $100 and dress shirts and ties for $3-4 - no joke! Also, lots of $2 flip flops in the kids shoe department.

Anyway, get your behinds to Target and C21- these are sales you don't want to miss! I'll post my complete haul on my next blog - I just wanted to give you guys a heads up!
