So let's start with a peek at the sample table on the right side of the space, just past the registers. Samples are now $75 and limit 5 per person. They are all clearly marked with colorful zip ties. I hung out for a few hours, and they replenished several times, but pretty much everything that came home with me I found in the first 5 minutes of shopping.
Then walk a few step further to small leather goods. There are bins of wallets, key chains and pouches and prices are scaled, based on retail prices. I tried digging for cute $25 items (which were pieces with a retail of $75 or less).
They had a few sample pieces mixed in - this adorable mini bag key chain was $10. They also had some sample wallets for $15.
Spotted a bunch of phone and computer accessories in the bins.
I believe these pouches were $25 - complete with monkey stickers to personalize it.
Stock handbags were also priced based on the retail. Honestly I would wait for discounts later in the week to buy anything from stock.
Head to the clothing - it topped out with leather jackets, vests and skirts for $200 (they didn't have too many) and tops were $25 & $75, bottoms were $75-$100, outerwear was $125, and dresses were $150. Sample clothing was mixed in but priced the same as stock clothing.
They had a small men's selection of Ben Minkoff - bags, accessories and shoes. Prices were based on retail for accessories and shoes were priced the same as women's.
Let's talk shoes! Priced $50-100 they didn't have any sample or damaged footwear like last time and had a much smaller selection. Nothing worked for me so I walked away empty handed.
Right before you check out they had a few trays of jewelry for $15-20. Honestly I've seen some of these pieces cheaper at the Rack.
I'm linking up pieces that I saw at the sale below:
Last but not least, my finds!
My favorite is this $75 sample fringed Regan satchel that retails for $425. It's a beautiful dusty purple suede. Reminds me a little of my Bal.
Then there's this $75 sample large black bucket bag - anyone know the name?
And finally, this $75 sample saddle bag with studded tassel. I waited at that sample table hoping for a larger version to show but it never did. (I did spot one lucky shopper with a solid black one.) Guess I'll have to try again another day :)
I grabbed one of these pouch sets with glow in the dark stickers for $25 (retail $85).
And I couldn't resist this fringed heart key chain for $25 (retail $75).
This leather bracelet was an impulse buy but at least it was only $15 (retail $98). I'm just a sucker for rose gold.
Sale is on all week so I'll be heading back to see what else turns up. If you can't make it to these three sales you can check out the online sample sale. Some items were cheaper at the NY sale but I saw other pieces cheaper online :)

Would love to hear what you scored! If you see me at the sale be sure to come say hello :)

I ended up not getting any stock bags because after 5 great finds in the samples, it was hard to justify the price. I might go later in the week for markdowns.
ReplyDeleteSo true - I'll be back for more as they markdown :)
DeleteFun. there are actually some pretty good online deals for those of us who won't be getting to NYC this time around...
ReplyDeleteRight - I was impressed too!
DeleteI just browsed the online sale and the key fob and coin purse you got is selling for $10 more. Hopefully I can make it to the sale to get some gifts for family.
ReplyDeleteLike I said some were more and some were less. At this point wait till later in the week for markdowns :)
DeleteYou got some great pieces! I hope to find something the last couple days of the sale but I did walk away with a killer pair of booties... PS It was more like 20 min that I beat you hehe.

Your booties were super cute. And you didn't have to cross state lines...
DeleteI really wanted a pair of booties that I thought were lost forever to me (turns out, they are). They only had one size below mine and one above. Bah!

Augh so annoying. That would drive me nuts.
DeleteI love the little grey tassel bag you got! The little studs are so cute. Darn that they keep raising prices :( but you still scored some great stuff!

Thanks - the studs are cute. It's so annoying, especially because can I find RM cheap at the Rack.
DeleteGreat samples! Your previous reports inspired me to check out this sale. I went over around 1:30 pm and bought a few, but the samples on the table were much more basic and not nearly as much detailing as your finds. I definitely plan to stop by when there's further reductions.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Keep checking back there - I'm sure more will turn up!
DeleteI like the leather jackets they had. The patchwork one is super cute
ReplyDeleteI wanted a more basic moto and my size was gone in 2 seconds :(
DeleteOh my goodness! There are so many wonderful options, especially all of those purses! The fringe heart keychain is adorable. :]

ReplyDeleteHappy to help :) Not quite ready to let go of the black LOL.
DeleteI wouldn't either. Use it in good health!
