Last weekend I had a family wedding in Long Island so I jumped at the chance to play dress up. I always feel most like myself all dolled up. It's funny but casual looks are always more work for me. I pulled out my new sequin dress from the Rack that I scored for 50% off at their post-Christmas Clear the Rack. I tried to wear new shoes but these Charlotte Olympias are insanely comfortable and make my legs look a million miles long. For accessories I had a few new sample sale scores that I matched up.
From head to toe:
- Earrings: A.V. Max, sample sale, $4
- Dress: Halston Heritage, Nordstrom Rack, $90 (retail $525)
- Bag: Rafe Mary Alice clutch, sample sale, $95 (retail $398)
- Bracelet: A.V. Max leather cuff, sample sale, $10 (retail $80)
- Shoes: Charlotte Olympia x Agent Provocateur Bellatrix, sample sale, $150 (retail $895)
You can shop my look below. None of these pieces are available so I selected similar pieces :)
I usually try to camouflage my derriere but sometimes I have to embrace my inner Kardashian. When I try to cover it up it tends to look larger so I just went for it. I squeezed myself into this size 4 (I am so NOT a 4 right now) - luckily it has lots of stretch. I did use a bunch of safety pins to keep it shut. I'll be bringing it back to the tailor at the Rack tomorrow to put in snaps so I don't have to worry about anything popping open.
Strangely enough nobody made any comments on my dress (good or bad) which totally threw me off. If I don't get a reaction I'm not doing my job LOL. I thought I looked pretty good.
And that's all folks! A huge thank you to my BIL for being a good sport and shooting me. My husband took a few pictures but I don't think I used any of his this round.
Would love to hear what you think :)
