My Epic Rebecca Haul!

You know I love my Rebeccas! I can't resist a cheap Minkoff bag...and what would I do without my Rebecca Taylor dresses? With the influx of sample sales, I've been so busy shopping and reporting that it's been a while since my last haul post. Guess what? Your wait it over!

I shared my first day finds from Rebecca Minkoff here but this is what I found when I went back for more :)

I love buying small designer bags for Bat Mitzvah girls. I scored the cutest hot pink Marc Jacobs at the Rack for my next door neighbor and I smile every time I see her wear it. When I saw this mini MAC crossbody for $15 (RV $195) on the sample table I snapped it up. It has a couple marks on the flap, but I knew it would be perfect for my niece, C. That combined with all the A.V. Max jewelry I let her pick out at the sample sale preview (sale started today!) and I think it was the perfect gift for a 12 year old...I know I would have killed for a RM bag and some pretty bling at her age.

I attached the $5 (retail $45) purple tassel key ring to the bag for the pic but I didn't end up giving it to her. I think one of my girls swiped it LOL.

How fun is this $10 (RV $195) Lola backpack? Right now my girls are fighting over it. I was really hoping for a Julian leather backpack with fringe from the sample table but that didn't happen.

Jewelry was all $5 so I grabbed a bunch. Y'all remember the $128 leather feather earrings that I'm giving away. Giveaway (you can still enter here) ends tomorrow at midnight so stay tuned for the winner!

Couldn't resist grabbing the matching necklace (RV $108).

Earth Eclectic Fringe Chandelier Earrings (RV $68).

Crystal three triangle drop earrings (RV $38) and multi row bracelet (RV $78).

Sample clothing was just $20 and they brought out a bunch while I was there. I'm guessing that something like this would have probably retailed for at least $600. Most pieces were unfinished or in pretty rough condition. This wool coat looked like it had potential so I took it home to see what I could do with it. Note all the safety pins and unfinished seams.

Last but not least my $5 (RV $150) tassel sandals. There's a little bit of drama behind these babies. When they dumped a bin on the sample table I quickly snapped up what I could - including one of these cuties. For some reason all the other sandals were size 7 and this was the only 9. I couldn't find the mate...until it turned up in the hands of another shopper. She saw that I had a few things and insisted I hand it over to her because the other pair she held was not her size. I'm sure you can imagine how that went over with me. First of all, I had been there for over two hours so of course I had a few items in my bag. Second, um...no. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty generous at sample sales. Many a time I've handed coveted pieces over to strangers. I immediately went to the Rebecca Minkoff rep and explained the situation. The other girl went to check out and I saw her pointing at me from across the room. In fairness, the rep took back both shoes. All I know is about an hour later they turned up back on the sample table and this time they were mine. So the lesson is I will fight you for a good tassel. You have been warned.

And now for my Rebecca Taylor haul - these pieces were from her recent showroom sale. Check out my $395 booties that I scored for 20 bucks a pop!

These $10 damages are epic. I was pretty much the first one to dig thru the box and I'm still sore that they charged me $10 a piece when they told me $5 when I first got there. I edited down a little, which I regret because anything usable in that box was really a no-brainer.

This cashmere cardi has a couple tiny holes by the back neckline. I'll just sew them up and have a new $400 sweater in my closet.

My daughter has already stolen my $295 white stitched square embroidered top to wear for her Frida Kahlo project for school. It has a couple barely noticeable stains on the front. Should oxy out. So pretty.

This $425 silk chevron embroidered silk blouse has a few stains which I'm gonna try to oxy them out too.

My $595 leopard print dress seems fine. Not sure why it was in the damage bin. I'm still waiting to find the hidden tear/hole.

My $550 Mystic Garden chiffon dress has a tear in the back which should be able to get stitched up.

I saw a few of these $795 ruffle trim tunic dresses - all damaged. They were all torn in the same place because the mirrored panels are so heavy and it was a mistake to attach them to the dress by an open weave - it should have been reinforced. I chose a dress that's only torn in the back. I currently have mine at the tailor - hopefully she can save this beauty.

You know I love a midi! A new zipper and my $650 dress is as good as new :)

I love my $450 Marrakech paisley dress. I actually just shot some photos in it. It came with safety pins in it by the shoulder so I kept it pinned for my pics but I need to bring it to the tailor.

I did get a few other pieces but they're at the tailor getting fixed at the moment. I'm sure you'll see me wearing them sometime soon. And yes, I really did get all these for just $10 each!

Linking up some of these pieces should you need them too :)

I still have my Vera Wang and some amazing Rack finds to share. Not to mention all my A.V. Max jewelry scores that I picked up at the preview this past Friday. I still have not had a moment to complete my Jimmy Choo dyeing project - hoping to finish that up soon. It's coming guys!

What's your favorite find here? So hard for me to choose - it's like asking me which of my kids I like the best...

    1. Right?! I wanted the metallic ones last year when they were $50 but they didn't have my size. These are a half size big for for $20 who cares?

  5. Dang girl, you got some great finds! That white eyelet blouse is TDF. You can't be scared of some light stains, especially when it's on white! That's why we get the good deals though ;)

  6. Love your haul! Would you say that a $39 Rebecca Minkoff 3 zip tan wallet is a good deal? I picked it up from tjmaxx on clearance and am debating if I "need" it.

    1. Thanks! How lucky to have a seamstress in the family! I'm handy with a needle and thread but I'm no pro. My sewing class was my only C in college LOL.

  12. That RM bag is amazing!
FYI- if Oxy doesn't get the stains out try dishsoap....it works better than any stain remover I've ever tried, and doesn't leave any discolouration.

  13. I really love the ruffle tunic dress, can't wait to see you wear it on the blog. Great finds.
