Jimmy Choo Sample Sale Scores!!!

ETA 6/13 - THIS WAS PUBLISHED A FEW WEEKS AGO BUT SOMEHOW THE DATE UPDATED. FEEL FREE TO READ IT AGAIN :)

I've done really well so far this year at sample sales but I'd have to say my Jimmy Choo haul is probably one of my best.

My strategy is simple - be invisible and go last day for markdowns. At a previous sale I was asked to leave for being there too long (duh, I was reporting to the end) and I missed final markdowns. This year I was successful as even my sample sale buddies couldn't find me for over an hour LOL. Dress up for day 1, but for last day, no makeup, undone hair, and boring neutral clothing is key.

Here's a copy of the final price list I posted on Instagram. Prices started at just $10 for belts and in the last hour SLGs were $10 as well. Men's shoes dropped to $50 (insane!!!) and $100 for boots, and women's to $100/150/200. Bags started at $150 and went up to $250 in the end (no exotic add on for shoes or bags in the end either).

And finally, enough teasers - here's what came home with me :)

My Jimmy Choo Kallai swarovski sandals, retail $1,595, came home with me for just $100. They were supposed to be $150 but they rang 'em up for 100 bucks and I'm not complaining!

My Swarovski Whistler heels retailed for $2,450 and I also got them for $100 LOL. They're actually a half size too big but I was not gonna leave them.  They're insanely comfortable too. I made sure to take wearable heels and left behind some beautiful knee-breakers.

I clearly over edited in the men's shoe department. I was trying so hard to be good I stupidly didn't grab extras. I took these studded spats for my husband. I couldn't find the retail but I know they're from the SS14 collection.

These Sloane glitter flats are too small for DH so I may save them for my giant footed son's Bar Mitzvah shoe. He's in a size 40/7 so I'm guessing a 44 should work in two years. Or I'll grab more at the next sale LOL. He's already mad that I didn't buy him any Choo sneakers but what 11 year old needs $700 sneakers - even for 50 bucks. I refuse to spend more than $20 on my kids shoes, especially when I can get them for a penny.

Thanks to my friend LaKeisha, the Fashion Sherlock, I knew to negotiate damages. She got the cutest $1,895 clutch for $50! In the final hour, they had a small table with damages at the front so I inquired about a couple bags that I found at the full price table. This python Charlize clutch was originally $350 plus a $200 upcharge for exotics. I could only find this bag in green on a Brazilian site and couldn't find the retail. The cheapest python one I could find was for $1,450 and went up to $5,000 for the blinged out bridal version. It should have been $200 but I complained about the missing stud and took it home for $100. They also rang it up as a shoe so I didn't pay tax on it either :)

I grabbed this large Zoe hobo for a project - when I showed them the color transfer (it's pretty bad LOL) they gave it to me for 50 bucks. I'm very excited about my new project. I already ordered some dye and watched a few YouTube videos. I'll be documenting my process so stay tuned!

I couldn't resist grabbing a handful of $10 belts. They are all my size (80) except the brown which double wraps and is a 95 so I'll have to wear it on my hips.

Last but not least, my keychains. First they were marked to $30 so I put one aside. They when I looked again it went down to $10 so I grabbed 2. Then they forgot to charge me for them and they were free!

It's a small haul but I LOVE everything I got. It was so hard leaving so many things behind. I saw people hoarding boxes of stuff but I try to behave these days. For the price of a Steve Madden I got crazy binged out Choos. Best. Sale. Ever.

I'm linking up some current Jimmy Choo pieces that I spotted and some that I'll be looking for in future sales :)

If you went, would love to hear what you found!

  1. Fun! Next year I will have to plan better and be there for the last day -- instead of the 2nd day. There is always CTR at the end of the month...
