Tips & Tricks for Looking Your Best in a Pinch

LeHoarder's Camera-Ready #Momhacks x LUMIFY™ redness reliever eye drops

I am working with Bausch + Lomb this year to share some of my #momhacks. I'm almost always on the go, be it running around with my kids or navigating NYC for sales or events. When you're over 40, you need a few aces up your sleeve. LUMIFY by Bausch + Lomb is the unique drop that reduces redness to help eyes appear whiter, brighter and more naturally radiant. I keep LUMIFY in my arsenal because sometimes you gotta fake it till you make it.

If you've met me, you know that I'm naturally caffeinated and have tons of energy – even when I'm on 4-5 hours of sleep. As a blogger and mother it's important to always look my best. When you look good, you feel good. And when you project positivity, it draws people in. Thankfully, LUMIFY can help my eyes look brighter after just a few hours of sleep.

Mom Hacks 101:

Add a Pop of Color to Your Face.

I've tried nudes but they tend to wash me out because my coloring is so fair. With blonde hair, hazel eyes and pale skin, there isn't much contrast. My signature lip is a hot pink or red because they can instantly brighten up your face. If bright lipstick isn't your thing, you can also wear a colorful pair of earrings. Nothing makes me happier than adding a little color (or a lot!) to my look.

Sunglasses Are Magic.

I'll often head out the door with just a lippie and a pair of sunglasses and I'm good to go. Since my 30's (and those late nights with babies) I've had dark circles that need to be covered. No time for a full face of makeup? No problem! With those two items I can be camera-ready in a pinch.

LUMIFY! LUMIFY! LUMIFY!

For those moments I can't wear my sunnies, I pull out my secret weapon. I've always had sensitive eyes and I keep my eye makeup to a minimum. So when my eyes get irritated and red, I count on LUMIFY to save the day. I use a couple drops (one per eye) for whiter, brighter looking eyes.

LUMIFY, from the eye care experts at Bausch + Lomb, works in 1 minute and lasts up to 8 hours. Exactly what this busy momma needs! Developed by eye doctors and FDA-approved, the new, unique OTC formulation retails for $14.99 USD (2.5 mL bottle or 75 drops) & $25.99 USD (7.5 mL bottle or 225 drops) at major retailers and online. I love that it significantly reduces redness, so eyes look whiter and brighter – with no bleach or dyes. Plus there is a reduced risk of rebound redness and loss of efficacy. LUMIFY works differently to selectively target redness – you won’t believe your eyes! Individual results may vary. Use as directed.

What are your best, time-saving life hacks? I know some people who wear lightly-tinted sunglasses indoors. I will confess that I've popped on my sunnies for an occasional indoor pic, but why cover up when you can show your bright, beautiful eyes?

  1. I never thought about that eye drops can help to improve the qualities of the photos by reducing redness in the eyes and provide more clarity. Such a ingenious idea!! Need to try this next time.

  3. I always have the red eye issues since I am getting older. One of the reasons I always put sunnies is to cover my red eyes. I am so glad that I read your blog on time. What a great idea to pop in few drops and get a fresh look. Going to get these Bausch + Lomb drop next.

  4. I love all of your mom hacks! The pop of color on the lips is a great accent! I have been hearing a lot about Lumify lately! I recently purchased eye drops for the first time ever last week, because my eyes were looking so dull. I will have to try this. Thanks for sharing!
